Starting school
My little girl started school this morning. Not sure what I was expecting, but the moment we got to the gate she ran off and never looked back. And when they lined up to go in at 9 o'clock she was just a blur on my camera, such was the speed of her.
So, here's a thread for daddies (and mummies) to have a virtual blub at their wee darlings growing up. I know we have at least one other dad north of the border with a primary one starting school this week. Any others want to join in?
We can bump the thread again in September for anyone starting school then.
Meantime, I'm off to have a moment ...

my little girl LEFT school in June and is now waiting for results day next Tuesday. I still can't reconcile the fact that I am old enough to have a child that has left school

Ah memories..My eldest did exactly the same..Been doing it ever since and barely a backward glance.

My wee cousin started P1 yesterday and he looked so cute in his uniform.
Although he is so small his 3-4 yr clothes still look a wee bit big for him.

My son starts full time in September and he's looking forward to it 
Just a shame we are as nervous as hell about it and haven't a clue what he needs bought for him haha

Thankfully our local authority is a tad less hysterical than some. They leave it up to the headteacher, and she is also a very sensible, down to earth person. Plus it's a small rural school and everyone knows everyone else. There were plenty of parents hanging over the gate with cameras this morning.
She is home now, and full of it all. Sounds like she had great fun, which is more than can be said for her older brother who is now in P4 and discovering that we weren't lying when we told him he was going to get proper work now he was leaving the infants class.

nice one Chris i remember both of my sons first days ,i remember all the trials and tribulations of thier first years ,now one has left school and has just had his exam results ,passed them all enabling him to go to colledge .Good luck your daughter

My "little" girl starts college in September.
I remember the day she started nursary school, seems only yesterday.
(Shes actually the middle girl, the oldest starts her third year at college next month).
