Hols in Jan
Being a bit of a home bod I very very rarely leave the country for my hols.
Well, Mrs W is coming up to a BIG birthday in Jan, I would like to surpise her to a holiday somewere warm but not sweating me face off, end of Jan early Feb.
I will be after a villa that sleeps about 10, in beds, with room to breathe lol.
Anyone any ideas?

Re: Hols in Jan
Have a look at Gran Canria, I've been the last 2 years during Feb and it's lovely area around Maspalomas is great if you like the beach, and you can also head inland into the mountains for some nice villages.
Daytime temp can be around 18-23 and you can eat out in the evenings outside quite comfortably.
Hope this helps

Re: Hols in Jan
Sticking with the Canaries, i've stayed in fabulous villa's in Lanzarote in a lovely little fishing village called Playa Blanca. Its not in your face bouncing resort, its got great restaurants and a few bars, beaches are fab and you can visit the other canary islands by seacat from the harbour. I've been in both March and October and the heat was lovely with the wind off the sea, gets a bit cold at night though
Better still Easyjet and Jet2 fly to the canaries now, making flights cheaper than ever

Re: Hols in Jan
Also remember the dry heat of the area is far more bearable than the moist heat we get here.

Re: Hols in Jan
What about LA?
My ex-boss flew there for his 21st wedding aniversary and flew back first class. (but the flight alone cost about £3,500)
