Obsessive behaviour
My neighbours have had a new Fiesta for about 3 weeks now. for the past 3 weeks they inspect the car for scratches before they go out in it. and inspect it for scratches when they get back in it.
they'll both walk around it finding bits and rubbing them with their finger.
if somebody happens to stop by it for any reason whilst walking you can guarantee that he will go out there and inspect the car to see if they've scratched it.
God help me the day they find an actual scratch.
are you as obsessed with your car as these 2 planks are?

Re: Obsessive behaviour
My neighbour is. He is on his 3rd Porsche Boxster now. He cleans it every 2 or 3 days. Not a quick job either as he spends 2 or 3 hours cleaning it. If he goes out for a drive in it, he goes out with a bucker of water and a sponge and gives it a quick wipe down when he gets back home.

Re: Obsessive behaviour
Some people are proud of their cars as besides a house it is one of the most expensive things that anyone will buy and something that the value will be forever depreciating.
Me though? lets just say that my partner has to complain many times as to how dirty the cars/bikes are before I'll contemplate washing them

Re: Obsessive behaviour
I'm a bit like that when the car is new...but after a month or 2 it fades away.
I think its just the "newness factor". And anyway, its their hard-earned cash theyve spent on a new Fiesta, they have every right to want to care for it.
Its inevitable that stone chips etc are going to appear at some point though.

That's the day I'm dreading. I'll probably see them standing there holding hands together staring at it thinking their life is over.

Do you say that to everybody who visits your house?
