new phone from Argos

Hi

sorry if this is in the wrong forum but not sure where to go with it

I am going to buy a new LG GT540 phone from Argos this morning on 02 PAYG as I also have to pay £10 airtime on top of the price of the phone

What I need to know is whether this phone will work with the 02 contract sim I already have, will it just drop in and away I go or is the phone exclusive on PAYG 02

I have no reason to get the phone unlocked just able to accept a contract 02 sim

many thanks

Re: new phone from Argos

It should work I did the same when I bought an Orange phone for my wife last year, the is no reason to use the sim supplied and I have done the same with other phones.

Any O2 sim should work in an O2 phone and it should be the same with any other supplier.

I can second this, I have done this myself many times.
