Lee, have a look at booking.com
You'll see comments about properties from previous guests which can be very helpful and revealing.

Also try Travelodge and Premierinn as well, they have a good standard of rooms.

I find these are usually ideal for most eventualities if they are in the area you are wanting to stay.

Laterooms does a similar thing as well, but if you like a hotel check it out direct as it may be cheaper.

If you are not going for at least 3 weeks the check out Travelodge as you may get a good deal.

I have stayed at The Beeches Bed and Breakfast several times and I have been very please.
