Originating ten years ago in California’s Silicon Valley, to celebrate our computing heritage, Vintage Computing Festivals are now regular events held across the USA and in Germany. The June 2010 event at TNMOC will be the first in the UK and will pay particular tribute to the British contribution to the development of computing.
The festival will have exhibition stands, a full lecture programme, machine demonstrations, computer games and challenges, bring-and-buy sale, and performances of electronic music.

Colossus was rebuilt and switched on in 1996, The Colossus MK2 rebuild was started in late 90's and has already finished most of the major stages

Re: Vintage Computer Festival at Bletchley Park Museum
Wonder if they will make a copy of the Manchester Mk1 at any point... I actually did some work for someone who used to work on the Mk1 and shook hands with Alan Turing in 1952.

Re: Vintage Computer Festival at Bletchley Park Museum
Well they did a working replica of Baby back in 1998, I beleive it now resides in the Science Museum. Baby was the precursor to the MK1..
Takes me back to when I did work experience at the UMRCC back in '84

Re: Vintage Computer Festival at Bletchley Park Museum
Wish I lived nearer, and I would visit it.
Takes me back to my training course at Bletchley Park, late 77/early 78......

Re: Vintage Computer Festival at Bletchley Park Museum
Sorry to say but I didn't get a chance to go and visit this time...
Being so close (just between Luton and Bedford) I relaly should join the "Friends of Bletchley park" group
