Competitions For Art
Hi All,
Does anyone know of any Websites that focus on Competitions for Art, IE; Digital Art?
I've had a look round and seen a few but they seem to be American, the others I've found are more of "Rate My Work" Websites where you don't actually win anything.

What's wrong with American sites? The ones I know usually are brokers for art products, software and offer vouchers and prizes from their products.
Money is seldom offered online.
Money only becomes involved if you venture out into RL and the world of gallery art.

Re: Competitions For Art
Not really, but i'm more into Digital Art and People don't tend to buy that type of Medium. I've tried doing printed cards on e-bay but people tend to go to places like hallmark.
It's easier when people have competitions or they ask you to do some work for them as it gives you a goal to work towards, and I love challenges so I find it more rewarding.
I did find some sites but you have to pay a subscription before you can enter your artwork on the chosen topic. Typical.

Re: Competitions For Art
You could have a look at WOTARTIST. If your work was accepted it would give you an online portfolio and maybe generate some interest in your work. As far as I know there is no cost involved.

Re: Competitions For Art
You could sell prints of your work on Deviant Art. The only downside being millions of others trying to do the same thing. Maybe worth a try though.
