Hi Folks,
Firstly can I thank the folks who run Cable Forum once again, for kindly allowing me to post this here.
As I'm slightly better health wise than I was last year and before I get my first shoulder replacement, I thought I'd do something a little more strenuous than swanning about the
UK by train in 1st class
I'll be abseiling from Fort Dunlop in Brum on 18th July to raise money for the
National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society.
Same charity as last year, as there's increasing number of folks being diagnosed with RA, don't think it's only for older people, RA is an immune system disease and can strike at any age.
A number of charities have got together to try and raise awareness of the condition, not only with the public, but with GP's too.
Have you got the S factor?
Early intervention can make such a huge difference, preventing damage and deformity. So if you have any of those symptoms, please do get it checked out ASAP. The front line drugs now can make such a difference.
If anyone would like any further info, leaflets etc about RA please get in touch and I can send some to you.
Last year I managed to raise just under £700 with the wonderful donations that were made.
Thanks again folks.
