Camera Bag

I am looking for a camera bag that will take a DSLR with kit lens & a 70-300 lens. Needs to be small as possible to fit in a ryanair carry-on bag.

Cheers

Re: Camera Bag

What's your price limit? Mine is one of these --> Jessops Centon D-Trek BP500

Though it was only £35 when I bought it. Its got moveable velcro compartments and fits my D5000, Kit lens, and Tamron 70-300 Lens, along with my travel tripod and various filters batteries etc.

Just re-read your initial post, it wouldn't fit INSIDE a carry on bag, it would be your carry on bag

Not sure you'd find a small case that would hold a 70-300mm lens AND a Kit Lens.

Re: Camera Bag

I have a couple of lowepro bags including a sling. Can't fault them. Well made and big inside.

Re: Camera Bag

which 70-300 do you have? there would be a vast difference in size between say an f4 and an f2.8

Thats what I was thinking.

Ryanair's carry-on size is 55cm x 40cm x 20cm.
We have sourced some carry-on cases that fit the bill & I was wanting to take my DSLR to Spain when we pop over for a break in Sept.
At the moment all my kit fits into a Lowepro fastpack 200 which I used as my carry-on when we went to Turkey this month and falls inside Ryanair's sizes, but with Ryanair we are not checking ang luggage so everythings gotta fit in a small case.

I agree Lowepro bags are excellent & would normally be my carry-on but unfortunatly as I would require some clothing I cant take it this time

Re: Camera Bag

I'd carry the camera and put the lens in it's own case. I bought a couple of Tamrac cases off ebay - http://www.tamrac.com/g_modularaccessory.htm My Nikon 70-300 f4.5-f5.6 fits snuggly into MX5380.

Re: Camera Bag

I have just brought a Lowepro pro runner 200 from jessups, it's a backpack and is aircraft friendly, my equiptment is Nikon D300, 18-200vr lens, a S-600 Flashgun, Sony HD Camcorder.
There is still room for a Std lens pluss Battery chargers Ect.

Re: Camera Bag

Ouch, Ryanair's carry-on size is a bit stingy... I'm surprised they don't actually charge you for the privilege of taking hand luggage though.

I use a Lowepro Trekker AW which is fine as carry-on luggage with most airlines and as you can see can fit a fair bit of stuff inside: 2x bodies (only one shown but there is space.. had to take the pic with something), 2x teles, 1x wide-angle and various accessories in the outer pockets.

I've got a slingshot 100 knocking about somewhere which will take a body and one of the teles but that should be well within the Ryanair size limits.
