Your best bet is either: (a)Google or (b) going into a supermarket that sells both and using your eyes

Re: Kahlua or Tia Maria?
Don't think I've ever seen explicit content details on alcohol bottles, I know that for example Kahlau has to have between 100 to 250 g/l of sugar as it is defined as a Liquoir, anything above that is a Creme
Remember as well that alcohol itself is burned by the body in the same way as carbohydrates and is prioritised before fats

Re: Kahlua or Tia Maria?
Thanks Kymmy, I only ask because if I have too much sugar with my alcohol, I really suffer the next day, and I plan on plenty of White Russians tonight.

Re: Kahlua or Tia Maria?
I found that Kahlua had 11.2g of sugar in a 1 ounce serving, but couldn't find anything about Tia Maria.

Re: Kahlua or Tia Maria?
I don't know how accurate these wki answers are but they show Kahula has the lower number of calories. That's if a pub shot glass holds 1oz which I think it does.
Tia Maria = 105 cals per one pub shot!

Kahula + 91 calories = 1 oz.

Re: Kahlua or Tia Maria?
Must be plenty of sugar in both as a 25ml shot of say white rum (37.5%) comes in at 50 cals.

Best then to stick with spirits and low-cal mixers

But those calories are from the alcohol and not the sugar, the sugar contant of white rum (and any spirit) is quite low with the stronger spritis actually having the lower sugar readings

If you are concerned about your blood/glucose levels, I have always found that alcohol helps to mitigate extra sugar intake during consumption. That is why, as a diabetic, if I don't have anything to eat after drinking, I tend to crash in the night.
