Hooray for sun, boooo for no sleep
It is far too warm to sleep, I go up to bed and find it impossible to get to sleep so end up getting back up again cause of the heat. What can you do to keep cool?! Argh so irritating

Re: Hooray for sun, boooo for no sleep
got into bed last night and it was rather warm ,but with the press of a button on came the air con and it was lovely and cool in a few minuets ,my bedroom is south facing and the walls are solid [no cavity ] so by bedtime the inside of the wall is warm and the room is 23 -24 c ,i had years of sleepless nights until i got an air con unit now i wouldn't be without it .

One fan at the right level to blow cool air all over me in bed...I'm also sleeping in the spare room on my tod which really helps.

Yep, you can't beat a good old fan, who needs expensive air con ay lol
I'm Kind of counteracting the fans work though to be honest, left the computer and lamp on half the night pumping out heat

I don't tend to have a problem sleeping in the heat but partner does.. So we have a 12" desk fan at the side of the bed on a timer switch programmed to turn it on for about 5 minutes every half hour..
One slight drawback... Doggies love the cool so they now sleep in the best spot to get the fan so their body heat tends to make it even hotter!!!

Re: Hooray for sun, boooo for no sleep
We have a window open, and just use the duvet cover as a top sheet - that keeps us reasonably cool.

I find that putting a bowl of water in the room helps otherwise the air gets too dry.

A good nightcap helps, and I do not mean a fabric one
