First time in Dubai
Hi all,
i'm off to Dubai in June and wondered if anyone that had been there had any general tips and any tips about places to visit or trips to go on, i'm already looking into going on a desert safari, the water parks, swim with the dolphins and go up the tallest building in the world, suggestions for anything else will be greatly welcomed

Re: First time in Dubai
Take out a second mortgage to finance the trip, and at all times keep at least five feet away from your wife or any other woman.

Yeah i'll put some pics up,will hopefully be taking an underwater camcorder too.
And Frogstamper,, no need for a second mortgage, £300 for the return flight and no hotel costs as we'll be staying with a friend who lives there so wil only need some spending money

My daughter's stuck out there at the moment, but when she returns, I'll get some info from her and post it here.

Well from what I've read, don't kiss your partner in public unless your married, dress in suitable clothing, alchol can only be druck in certain locations.

Re: First time in Dubai
Waterpark wise go to Atlantis as opposed to Wild Wadi. The latter is geared towards younger kids, the slides at Atlantis are much more fun. I think entrance is a couple of 100 dirams each, it might be worth trying to get a room for the night at the atlantis hotel, which includes entrance to the water park. I'd also recommend the jeep safari, which is very good fun. Oh, and check out the indoor ski park at the mall of emirates. Again mainly for kids but worth seeing.

Actually we'll be going to both water parks will also be buying The entertainer 2010 which includes 2 for 1 vouchers for both, a few people have said to me that Aquaventure at Atlantis isn't as good as wildwadi but i'm trying both so i'll let you know my opinion
Wouldn't have said the ski park is mainly for kids either, i use one at Milton keynes and there are very few kids on it, think i'll have a look at it but wont be snowboarding this time
