Windscreen Wiper Hook/Connection Broken.
One of my Windscreen wipers is no longer connected properly, it fails to wipe the screen as the wiper goes all over the place.
It seems the connection that attaches the wiper to the car has lost it's hook (or does the hook come with the wiper!?). So the metal thing simply slots into the wiper but it cannot get a firm grip and to the connection hence the wiper has to extend past the windscreen.
Pictures attached. I hope I have managed to explain this well enough but what exactly is the component that connects the wiper to the windscreen connection and where do I get a new one?
Thanks

Re: Windscreen Wiper Hook/Connection Broken.
As long as the metal is still fine all you need to do is go to your local car parts place / national tyres / kwik fit / asda etc and pick up a new wiper blade. The mounting kit comes with the blade and shouldn't cost you much. I would replace both blades at once so you know when they were most recently done.

Pop yourself along to your local Halfords or Partco mate and get yourself a pair of new wiper blades. The plastic clip that you`re missing will be in the box with the blade. Shouldn`t be any more than £5/£6 quid.
Damn........... Beaten to it by LN.

Re: Windscreen Wiper Hook/Connection Broken.

Re: Windscreen Wiper Hook/Connection Broken.
Cheers! I'll do that tomorrow, was worried it was something on the actual metal bit with the car that was gone!

Tescos do decent blades for a few quid (not the floppy type though)

Re: Windscreen Wiper Hook/Connection Broken.
Euro Car Parts have been selling Bosch wipers at half the price of Halfords.
If the blade's still in good condition, maybe your local Quik Fit or whoever might have the adapter bits lying around for nothing.
