Re: Wisdom Tooth/Teeth
I've found Clove oil to be a bit hit and miss (though people always recommend it).
Ibuprofen on the other hand, although not a home remedy, definitely works well for tooth pain.
The generic (unbranded) tablets are also pretty cheap.

Re: Wisdom Tooth/Teeth
No coffee, no chocolate, no strong spicy foods, do not smoke, keep the tooth very clean and a little salty water helps avoid infection. Try to avoid the long term use of pain killers. If it is really painful some of the gels offered may help but not irritating it in the first place is best. If in persistent pain SEE YOUR DENTIST to make sure the tooth is growing in the right direction and is not impacting on places it should not touch.
Best of luck with it.
