Yup, it was just the same in Glasgow in the 60s and 70s - mind you, they had the highest heart-attack rates in the world, but I am sure there was no connection.....

recent medical studies state being over weight is better than under weight and obesity is the bodies defence against fatty deposits in the blood. A recent New Scientist article states the obese can have lower cholesterol levels than those at a heathly weight but consume a high fat diet. Ecto morphic body types for example do not store much fat but that does not mean there isnt fat in the blood. On the other side of this though there does appear to be a saturation point where the fat can seep into the bloodstream in the obese
The worse fats you can have are processed fats proper animal fats do have a place in the diet

A bit like dripping. I wonder if a low fat lard is available?
You couldn't beat a juicy dip butty from the meat in the oven. Mmmm... Fat! from ear to ear.

to a point but you only have to look at the processed crap on the shelves in the shops. If all you fancy is a little bit of various processed foods then it aint good is it
I was talking to a guy last night who had a heart attack late last year he tells me in the heart clinics he has been to since he is yet to meet one obese guy. I did say is that cuz they all just drop dead lol but as he said everyone there just looked normal
