Music at your funeral
I’m just watching the Jade: A year without her.
It got me thinking, when your life ends what music would you want played at your funeral.
Most people have sombre music, but other play music with a more upbeat tempo.
My mum has said she wants the Elvis song “Are you lonesome tonight, (the famous laughing version).
My dad wants both Meat Loaf songs “Bat out of hell” & “Life is a lemon and I want my money back”
Me so far it’s Queens “Bohemian Rhapsody”

Re: Music at your funeral
I suppose for the shock factor i'd like Alice Cooper - House of Fire as I head towards to cremator.
Songs i've given serious thought to:
These are the days of our lives - Queen
Don't Stop me now - Queen
The wind beneath my wings - Bet Midler

Two serious contenders there
I quite like the idea of waking up the congregation with Pink Floyd's 'Time'

Re: Music at your funeral
my mum 'phoned me in fits of giggles, the other night because she'd watched a program with a funeral & the song was 'Return to Sender' - mine would be Glimpses by Ian Dury.

Re: Music at your funeral
My 2 choices.
When I head to the cremator: Bill Haley & the Comets - See Ya Later Alligator
For a laugh: Monty Python - Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life.

Re: Music at your funeral
Perhaps she means Queen - who wants to live forever?
Classic selections would be
David Bowie - Ashes to ashes
The Jam - Going underground
anything by Dead Or Alive
anything by the Grateful Dead
