Blightproof Tomatoes?

After losing ALL my tomato crops to blight for the past 5 years I was finally about to give up... then Gardeners World mentioned a variety last evening that is supposedly blightproof.

Only found one UK supplier, and at 95p for 30 seeds I think they're worth a try.

After trying other "blight resistant" varieties at great expense, this variety might at least be an answer............

Re: Blightproof Tomatoes?

Ferline and Legend were the first to fail in my garden and greenhouse.... I wrote to Thompson and Morgan to tell them of this... never got a reply.

Re: Blightproof Tomatoes?

Sorry I can't suggest much else then... I've just started some tomato seeds myself (just some Gardeners Delight) but we've never suffered from blight here.. We're also lucky up the allotment as no blight (tomatoe/potato/..etc...) has been reported there either..

Are you growing in soil or growbags? Just that the blight might be in the soil..

Re: Blightproof Tomatoes?

Fresh compost in sterilsed pots every year.... and it's not just me.... every single grower around here gets whacked every year. We just pray and pray to get some crop before the damp brings in the spores.
