Retired airman Stan Still, 76, from Cirencester, Gloucestershire, said his name had been "a blooming millstone around my neck my entire life".

"When I was in the RAF my commanding officer used to shout, 'Stan Still, get a move on' and roll about laughing," he said.

There was also a Douglas Edward Styles at my old radio station once who had mail sent to him as Doug E Style.

I went to an all boys secondary school and one of the lads in my year was called Michael Hunt. When he was called to the office over the Tanoy system in the middle of Maths, the entire school erupted with laughter... "Would Mike Hunt please come to the office..." One of those moments that sticks with you forever. lol. I don't think he ever lived that one down whilst there.

My old geography teacher had that name too only we used to play mind games with him. We called him 'Isaac'

My boss (many years ago) was called Bob Saul.

No-one ever called him Robert, so all letters came addressed to B. Saul - except once, when the name on the letter was R. Saul - oh, how we laughed.....

My ex wifes husband is Richard Long and they names there son William so they have Dick Long and Willy Long lmao

Well those could be put down to innocence of behalf of parents.As a teacher I see the results of what can only be a very blatant and intentional effort to embarrass a child.

Names such as Tracey Stacey or Candy Sweet are inexcusable.

Then there are those idiots who name their children after entire football teams etc.They should be sued and prosecuted by their offspring.

One of my primary school teachers made my life hell when he insisted on saying my full name all the time and insisted on saying all 3 of the hyphens in my name. He thought he was hilarious, the moron. I just wish my parents hadn't given him the ammunition in the first place.

I once had business associates back in Edinburgh called Alex & Paul Ness if that counts.
I was also once told that Samantha Janus` father is called Hugh but i dont think there`s a hole lot of truth to that one.

Way back in my school days, there was a couple in my class called Stephen Din and Anna Fox, If they were to marry, she would of become Anna Din.

When i had a shop i used to business quite often with a guy called Barry Job but he always used to sign his name Mr B Job and also have just B Job on his letter heads lol
