Your favourite curry...
Come on - we all have one (or several ).
Mine's a rather tasty Hash (duck) Masala with Garlic Paratha and Channa Masala.
What's yours?...
"Curry - now that's what I call cultural enrichment...."

Re: Your favourite curry...
I help my mate who owns the local takeaway out by doing deliveries for free food when he's stuck, so I get to sample all sorts, I love a good Byriani, Rogon Josh, Methi to name a few, my favourite side dish is Saag Aloo; also known as Palak Aloo depending on where you go which is spicey spinach and potatos

Re: Your favourite curry...
I have the advantage of having a British Indian girlfriend and she makes real indian food - the stuff you get from take-aways and restaurants is synthetic and only made for westerners who a) usually can't handle the spices and b) don't have the time or patience to wait for it to be cooked properly.
She makes an awesome tandoori chicken

Re: Your favourite curry...
Just to be inclusive - I should add the wife's favourites:
Prawn Puri, Sagwala Prawn & Saag Paneer. Yep she likes spinach and loves prawns.....
(Hates the ghee though - goes straight to her thighs she reckons even though I always tell her the only excess weight she has on her is me.... )

Re: Your favourite curry...
That's sooo true - Chinese too. I found a great recipe for crispy shredded beef with green chilli and that is truly superb the morning after..... yummy!

I've been to my friend's house in London a few times and his mum always cooks a lovely authentic meal, she's from Bangladesh and knows her food, shame she doesn't speak much English

The ready meal ones are pretty awful and nothing like the real thing, if the takeaway ones are like that you're going to the wrong places
