Re: Petition re unwanted cold calling
With respect - the last thread was closed because it was going round in circles. This one is to give the chance for people to register their opinions via a petition, rather than just bitching at each other on a forum.

Re: Petition re unwanted cold calling
This one will go exactly the same way as the last but I'm all in favour of promoting a petition.

Re: Petition re unwanted cold calling
Having now read the survey I think you might want to change a few things to make it factually correct.
First of all it's called 'social research' not 'official surveys' which is ambiguous and the telephone method is called 'incremental dialing'.

Re: Petition re unwanted cold calling
Don't see any way to change the wording once accepted, but I think most people will get the idea.
'Predictive dialling' was indeed a mistake on my part with reference to the earlier thread, but it is at least as bad as 'incremental dialling'

Not really - if you feel as strongly about it as you appear then surely you'd want people to know exactly what you're petitioning against and why it's exempt from the TPS.

I'm not sure what 'predictive dialing' but as well as being correct, calling it 'incremental' is also more self-explanatory.
Hell it's your petition, do what you want with it but if you're sure so many people object to social research calls then I'd have thought you'd want it to be as accurate and straightforward as possible.
