My New Kitchen
Took a while, not quite finished but getting there.
You can see the steel beams that have been put in the ceiling, the one running width ways from the cooker hood was the outside wall but has been extended back, the other was an internal wall that has been removed. The old kitchen was literally a third of the size.
Well pleased, but the wife can't stop catering for people now

It's a granite floor as I wanted a jet black floor, all other tiles seemed a browny black or grey-ish

I paid to have the building work done but only to a water tight shell, so from there on I did everything except the worktops and floor so saved a lot of money - but took up 3 months of evenings/weekends.
All in it came to ~ £23k

You've done yourself proud! I expected double that with the building work

Re: My New Kitchen
Fantastic job mr bo. You must feel really proud to have achieved so much.
We have a stone floor in our kitchen and, although it's not the most forgiving of surfaces when you drop something, I have never regretted twisting John's arm to lay it. I just wish the modern underfloor heating systems had been around when mine was laid, it sure can be cold underfoot in the middle of winter.

Re: My New Kitchen
I'm very envious.
I've just got a corridor to cook in...
