strange wrist/forearm injury

Hi guys

I have a strange wrist/forearm injury thats bothering me (lifting heavy stuff)
and wondering if i should goto the GP to check it out
cause if its just a sprain the GP would just tell me to rest it and take ibuprofen
as i do injure myself quite abit (ankles, foot)
i've been to see the GP alot and they always give me the same advice
so i rather not go if its not that big of a deal (was there 2 month ago for ankle)

the area that strange is around here

i can move it freely with very little pain but if i lift anything heavy theres alot of pain
and if move my wrist its strange
its like a creaking door hinge or like a rope/string thats tensed up and about to break which i can hear and feel

had this for a week now
any1 had anything similar? think its just a sprain?

Re: strange wrist/forearm injury

Go see a doctor. It's the quickest, surest way to get the correct treatment rather than take advice from a group of people who have no medical training..The last time I had something similar I ended up having physio and the doctor said I should have visited sooner.

SMG and Ramrod who do have training will no doubt say exactly the same.

Re: strange wrist/forearm injury

went to see the GP today
said it should be a sprain on the muscle tendon
and the noise was because the tendon wasnt moving smoothly cause it was inflamed

told me to take some anti-Inflammatory
and if they don't work in the next 2 days she would give me something stonger

Re: strange wrist/forearm injury

I had the same problem last year only on the other hand, I got some Movelat cream from the chemist, that cleared it up within 3 days, as soon as I get a twinge I put som cream on it.
