Virgin media technician interview

Hi
I have had 2 telephone interviews and 1 assessment online interview
I was offered to go down to there swindon office in mid January for a open day..
Can anyone explain what happens at this open day and if it is worth all the travelling etc if they are just going to fob me off (going on past threads back about 2 years ago)
Or has it all changed and virgin have a better reputation now??
All replys would be greatly appreciated
Thx
Steve

Re: Virgin media technician interview

Hello Seleroman,

I am very interested in applying for a technician role and would be very interested in any tips for the telephone interview that you could offer should i be successful. (Sorry to Hijack your thread).

I have never been to the open day but I would say go for it. I am not sure how far you would have to travel but if you have come this far in the interview process it would be a shame not find out.

I am sure that the reputation has changed as there has been alot of changes within the company.

Duke

Regards to Steve, I will see you there if yours is on the 19th. You should have received an e-mail from virgin containing 8 documents and all the relevant information regarding the open day. And we get some free food! Not bad. I still don’t know what I’m going to talk about for the 3 minute presentation you have to give?

Hi Steve,

I am going on the assessment day after you and was wondering if you could let me know how the day goes for you and what it intails of as I am a little bit in the dark about the whole day.
Thanks

Whats the online asessment, I have yet to take that. However, my asessment day is before yours so I may be able to give you a bit of info after the 15th Jan.
