Stretching new shoes?
Its my works' Xmas night out tomorrow - 70's style. I've got a great pair of platforms but they have never been worn and are tight although are the correct size.
Have you ever managed to successfully stretch a pair of new shoes? If so, please please share your tips to save my feet tomorrow night

Re: Stretching new shoes?
Ummmm shoes, my favorite subject.
Never had much instant success, even with that spay on stuff that they sell to use on leather shoes. I doubt you will manage to make much difference to them before tomorrow night. Can't you just use them to make an entrance then change to another, more comfortable, pair of party shoes. Once the do gets under way I doubt if any one will notice your footwear.

I bought them last xmas, wore them once and they crippled me - so they never got worn again. They cost me a small fortune iirc, so i want at least a full nights' dancing out of them
They are glittery, so i'm assuming not leather otherwise i'd try the leather stuff.
My mate mentioned putting wet newspaper inside them to stretch them?

Re: Stretching new shoes?
If the uppers are man made then you risk them shrinking if they get wet without a stretcher to ... urm ... stretch them.
Wearing them this evening may soften/stretch them as much as anything else, but be careful not to let them rub or they will be even more uncomfortable tomorrow.

Get someone with fat feet to walk around in them for a few hours.
