Left Handed People
Ok im left handed and i thought id do abit of research about left handed people and come to find that 90 to 93% of the human population are all right handed.
I can write with my left hand but i can only use scissors with my right hand i also use the mouse with my right hand, who else is like this?
and if your the religous type you might find this interesting, below.

In Hebrew, as well as in other ancient Semitic and Mesopotamian languages, the term "hand" was a symbol of power or custody.[7] The left hand symbolized the power to shame society, and was used as a metaphor for misfortune, natural evil, or punishment from the gods.

Deep huh, anyway i thought id sure my thoughts.

I'm left-handed, for writing & most other things.
I don't use scissors with my right hand like you, but I can't use specific left-handed scissors though. They just seem weird.
I do, however, use a mouse with my right hand, use a right-handed controller set up on video games, and use a knife & fork right-handed.
My maternal grandmother was left-handed. When she was at school, she used to be hit across the back of her left hand if the teacher saw her use that instead of her right hand.

Oh, & one of my friends is also left-handed. He taught himself mirror writing. Not just writing from right to left, but actually writing backwards from right to left. It was actually neater than when he wrote normally.

Re: Left Handed People
Right handed but to see through a telescope I use my left eye and when I eat I have the fork in my right hand - a bit of a mix-up really.

Re: Left Handed People
I'm 100% ambidextrous, I find switching hands as easy as taking breath. If I writing I use the pen in whatever hand is closest to pen.
It has its downsides though.

Such as?
Personally I think being left handed is the pits having seen my daughter and hundreds of left handed pupils across 30+ years of teaching. It's ok in art but when you have a lefty writing next to a righty you have to ensure they sit the right way together or one is being jabbed by the other.
The Chinese don't really have that much of a problem as they write from top to bottom.Maybe we should adopt that system.
Or just give every lefty access to a desktop or a netbook.

Or do as some African nations do and force pupils to use their right hands to write with

Re: Left Handed People
I wouldn't change it if I could, I do eat back to front though; fork in right and knife in left.
I'm not sure if this is due to comfort or pure rebellion.
As a child the dinner ladies would 'correct' the way I held the knife and fork.

The way I hold a pen, I have to be careful with what type of pen I use. If I'm not careful then the writing will just smudge.

Re: Left Handed People
I'd love a keyboard with an enter key on the left and right hand sides.
@cimt http://www.gizmag.com/the-left-hande...picture/60319/
I write at 90 degrees left or right handed, so it doesn't matter to me.
