old mobile trade in

hi
got a old mobile here (Samsung Omnia)
which i don't need so i'm thinking of trading it in

but as i haven't any of them before
i would like to know if any1 had any problems with them
or recommend 1 to me

I'm looking at http://www.mobilephonexchange.co.uk

which seems to be giving me the best price for my mobile
any1 had dealing with them before???

should i use the free postage they give
or would i really be better of using special delivery or similar

Re: old mobile trade in

got myself a N97 now
actually since Aug
only had a 12month contract with the omnia

would of give it to a friend or family (as i did with my older phones)
but the Omnia would be too techy for an average person

Re: old mobile trade in

From what I understand, if you have a pre-two thousand mobile, it might be worth a bob or two.

have used mazuma a few times very fast turnover and fair prices, even more if you want argos voucher instead of cheque

I used Mazuma back in the Summer, to sell my iPhone 3G & Nokia N95. No problems, & a good turn around

Re: old mobile trade in

ok been looking around and it seems this mobile phone exchange is giving me the a high price (£100)
and then quidco is giving me another £3.70 (more then half of special delivery charge)

so i think i would go with this way
haven't used any of these 2 services before but both seems to have good rep

I've just got shut of 2 phones via Mazuma, they gave me a good price for both of them and a very quick turn around indeed.

*cough* *splutter* I've had the same phone practically since it came out (just over a year ago) and I always insist of having the latest tech, it's on contract admittedly but it's hardly "old"

Re: old mobile trade in

If I tried to get rid of my old phone (Siemens A55) through these services it would cost them more to process it through the postal service than I'd get in money back. For my D900 they wanted not far upwards of £10, so I gave it to a friend who had a broken screen on his HTC Touch.

My advice: family before profit.
