Outside Christmas Lights
Evening,
We want to put some Christmas lights around our front door canopy.
Idealy I'd like to find a way to put in some non-intrusive fixings that allow the lights to be put up securely, but the fixings can remain for use next year.
I want the fixings to be fairly invisible once the lights have been removed.
The canopy is similar to the one in the picture.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Lee

Re: Outside Christmas Lights
If you're not bothered about fancy lights, you could always just use a rope light and leave it in situ all year round. We have a 15m rope light running just underneath the eaves at the front of our house. It looks lovely when lit up, is hardly visible when it isn't and doesn't have to be removed and reinstalled every year.

Re: Outside Christmas Lights
Use simple screw in eye hooks. Then tie the lights to those with garden twist ties.
The hooks are unobtrusive, especially the smaller ones, and you can put them out of the way so you would need to look closeley to see them out of season.

Cool - thanks - what are they called? Just so I know what I'm looking for...
Perhaps I should ask the 17 year old Homebase assistant for some sky hooks?

Re: Outside Christmas Lights
Evening,
Mission completed.
We found these in Homebase - would have been better if the sticky pad was clear instead of blue, but it's done the job!
