with the interest rates so low, you're going to find it very hard to get a decent rate on your savings. I don't know how much you are putting in, but generally you would need to put in a lot each month to get a 'good' rate.

Re: saving accounts
Unless you are willing, and able, to tie your money up for at least 2 years the interest rates that are being offered at the moment are dreadful.

Re: saving accounts
If you are saving £25+ a month (but upto ~£250/m) on a regular basis, some of the regular savings accounts are offering 4% plus.
Have a look at http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/sav...vings-accounts

Re: saving accounts
I moved my e-ISA to an establishment earlier in the year when when had a fixed rate for 6 months deal. Think is was about 4-6% which was very good for the time.
Now it's down to 0.20% (I kid you not) and I'm not getting a lot in interest at the moment.
Thing is though - it swings both ways - like most people we have a mortgage so the intrest on that is very low at the moment as well - can't have it both ways.
Tell you what wwe, just a buy us all a nice present each!!
