Anybody Bought Blinds Online?
Evening
Need to buy some custom size wooden venetian blinds.
Anybody bought blinds online and care to recommend the site from which they ordered them?
Thanks

Where do you live Rob? My dad does some blind fitting as a sideline (you know what scousers are like!) and there is a supplier in Widnes market, the cheapest you can buy made to measure and good quality
I'm just trying to sweet talk dad into buying me some for xmas

Re: Anybody Bought Blinds Online?
I doubt your good Father would find the job rewarding enough to travel the 200 miles to my place just to fit some blinds
Thank you though, I sincerely appreciate the thought

I was thinking it might be worth your while buying them from the market, not dad fitting them Although he'd probably be happy for the break from post-menopausal Mum

Re: Anybody Bought Blinds Online?
I'm sitting next to a wooden Venetian right now ... we bought it a couple of years ago from web-blinds.com and were very pleased with the service. Here are the details:

It's actually the rich oak in 35mm that I'm after - don't suppose there's any chance of a couple of piccies?

They're the same company Chris recommended (under a different name)

Re: Anybody Bought Blinds Online?
Hilarys were 3 times the price of a local guy who came out and measured, then returned and fitted blinds to every window in our house.
And he came back after 6 months to check nothing was worn or broken.... still perfect after 5 years...

Re: Anybody Bought Blinds Online?
This is uncanny: we're looking at wooden venetian blinds at the moment too!
Having wandered in and out of several blind shops I'd say that those in Chris's pictures are almost certainly Sunwood brand manufactured to order by Decora in Northern Ireland:
http://www.decora.co.uk/products/sunwood/
They are available with a number of different wood finishes (we like Canadian Maple) and with strings or tapes - again in a number of colours. You can mix and match your own colour scheme.
They are available from a number of shops online - a good many of which seem to be Hilary's Blinds under another name.
Since they all come from the same place I'd just be inclined to search on Google and Ebay for the cheapest and order from them.
