If a company wants to change your work contract with regards to holidays (the amout you recieve etc), and job description whats the usual procedure for this?
Is it down to whatever policy they have in place or are there some goverment guidelines that companies should be following?
What are the changes they wish to make? It very much depends on the severity of the changes, the type of business and how your current contract is constructed.

Once you know what they want to try to change, then the directgov site is a good starting point. as it will tell you, what they can, and cannot get away with.
I phoned them last year, when our company wanted to change our pay dates from the end of the month, to the middle of the next month! The advisors where extremly helpful.
Hope this is of some help.
