Compulsive hoarding + Idiot Uncle = Fire.
Short story, I share a house with my dad + uncle
We believe my uncle has a compulsive hoarding problem, as evidenced by the pictures I'm about to post a link to
When he moved in, he converted the garage into an "Office" (more like a dump)
He has an unhealthy obsession with the Brighton and Hove football club
He collects every news paper article and files it in this garage, not to mention having over 200? or so books on football in general
The blue file folders are full of news paper clippings dating back to the 1950's
He has so much rubbish in this garage, the stuff is prone to either falling down, or being knocked over
Several times we've gone in there and it's stunk of paint thinner, or meth/white spirit, where he's either knocked a bottle over, or it's somehow spilt everywhere (He never cleans it up mind you)

These are the before pictures, before the fire we had tonight.

Tonight I was taking a nap when I heard what sounded like small fireworks going off
A few minutes later, the mains power went out, but the lights remained on
So I got up to investigate and that's when I noticed smoke pouring out of the garage roof.
A call to 999, two fire engines later and a rather annoyed fire chief, the early pictures are posted below
The fire chief guy couldn't believe how much rubbish was in the garage, not to mention the amount of electrical stuff which was being powered in there (He also hoardes computer stuff, so we're talking 3 all in one scanners/printers, two fax machines, 3 computers that we know of and god knows what else and the excess ones are all broken)

Hmm! I think your family are about to get a visitation from the local council and you may find that if you claim for the insurance that the company may not want to pay up if the fire chief gives a truthful fire report.

I think your uncle has got to get his act together or leave.
