Ebay Advice
Where do I stand with the below.
Had tickets on ebay for sale for a concert on Wenesday. They were won via a best offer on Friday. I sent the bidder an invoice straight away. He came back to me on Friday and asked if it was OK if a friend of this collected the tickets in person, I said that it was. Saturday came with no contact then on Sunday he emailed me to say he couldn't get hold of his friend so we arranged that I would send the tickets to him by courier.
Had an email this morning saying he had contacted his friend on Sunday afternoon (after we had arranged that I would ship the tickets to him) but his friend couldn't get hold of me and because of this he no longer wants to proceed with the transaction.
It is now to late for me to resell the tickets so can I raise a disupte with ebay to get him to pay?

Re: Ebay Advice
Are you even allowed to be selling the tickets? I know a lot of them nowadays are not supposed to be re-sold.
Oh, and as it was a time sensitive deal then perhaps you could open a dispute... Because he did nothing but waste your time until the tickets were worthless.

Re: Ebay Advice
I know you can't resell football tickets but thought concert ones were fine.
The issue is I'm in Belfast and the concert is in Dublin so can't really sell locally.
I can't go cause I was a dunce and mixed up dates

Basically... no.
Buyers can **** you about as much as they like these days, and there's nothing you can do. You can open a non-payment dispute 7 days after the end of the listing, but there's nothing you can do to make the buyer pay.
You can't even leave negative feedback to warn others.
Welcome to eBay.

Why not? I raised a dispute last month and got my money back.I wasn't the only one leaving a stinking feedback either. In fact there are negative feedbacks being left all the time.

Sellers can't leave negs (to warn others, or otherwise)
Buyers can leave negs.

They changed it a good while back to stop people threatening buyers into leaving good feedback by threatening them with neg feedback even if they had a bad buying experience. It was clearly the wrong way to go about things.

Sellers can leave only positive ratings for buyers. That means buyers should feel free to leave honest Feedback without fear of retaliation. We also have safeguards in place to protect sellers against unfair negative or neutral Feedback.

Re: Ebay Advice
Bit of a thread hijack here. I've put my 360 on ebay as an auction, just went to check the bid history and there were about 5 bids from someone with 0 feedback and some generic looking name, then the highest bid was from someone with 1 feedback which says they are a scammer (although it was positive feedback?!)
So i have added both to my blocked list, does anyone know if even though he's the highest bidder, will it stop him from bidding again?[COLOR="Silver"]
Oh and on both of their bidding histories they've only ever bid on 360's.
