advice on scaring teens :)
hi all,
hope someone can help with a queery from my brother.
He works as a youth worker and they are planning to spend the night in an out of the way community centre for halloween...which surprise surprise is haunted ( or so the youth workers involved have been telling the kids for the past couple of months...)
anyways... they have three motion sensors, the kind that you'd usually find on outdoor security lights, which they would like to connect to three devices
a: a fan
b: audio device that will play a screaming or eerie audio clip
c: pocket projector... to play a video clip of a ghost into a mirror...
i didnt think there'd be a problem with the Fan, and maybe a cassete recorder with the play button pressed and powered up when the sensor is tripped for the audio. and maybe have the projector connected to an ipod with a looped spooky video clip continually playing but only projected when the sensor is tripped and powered up..???
are any of these ideas feasible? any advice or ideas
cheers
rob

Re: advice on scaring teens :)
Take them round a grave yard but make sure one of the workers goes there half an hour before, take some stuff with him and scare the daylights out of them.
We did it to a guy who used to come drinking with us, he used to walk home through the grave yard every night of the week, we asked him he'd ever seen anything? He said nah there's nothing like that. The next night I went into the pub, before the chap came in we came up with a plan, I was going to leave early and go to the graveyard and hide, he came in and we did the normal stuff like drink and play snooker.
I left and said goodnight to the lads, I walked out of the pub and walked round the back and went through the graveyard and hid, I took a white blanket with me. I hid behind this old tombstone and waited for Nev to come through, 20 minutes later he came walking through, when he got level with the tombstone I walked out with this sheet over me, he screamed like a woman and ran like a athlete. The next night in the pub he didn't say a deal.

LOL, thanks for the reply Nidge...although sure the youth workers would like to try that on them...i 'm not sure if they'd like to be held responsible for the resulting emotional state of a teen in thier custody
