Whats this called?

Hi,

I'm looking for a piece of metal that joins two kitchen worktops together except I cannot remember for the life of me what they are called!

Open for ideas!!

Cheers

Lee

"joint strip" usually about £7.00 from wicks or b&q made in a variety of finishes to match the work top
hope this helps

Re: Whats this called?

Ahh cool - thanks - that's the one - but I've just put strip joint in Google and got some rather strange results!

This looks like what we need - unless anybody has got some good ideas how we can join them together?

Re: Whats this called?

My dad used to be a kitchen fitter.

one end screws in to the end of the length of work top, and is pushed in to place towards the cuved edge piece

I'm talking about part "D"

Re: Whats this called?

A proper kitchen fitter will glue dowel the two peices together and make an almost invisible join even the council cowboys who fitted mine managed that lol

it's very expensive to buy the machinery to do that upwards of £250 and if not done correctly first time round the joint will swell up and open after a short time
