Warning! - fraudulent bank card transaction - NETBANX-SWMEDICAL

I just wanted to share... Upon checking my online Barclays account tonight I noticed a transaction that I didn't recognise, with the transaction description saying 'NETBANX-SWMEDICAL' for £19.99.

I phoned Barclays online banking up (0800435872) and told them about it...25mins later...I got a refund! However, they tell me they wont do an investigation, but I had to cancel all of my cards

So be warned, check your bank statements, especially the above transaction notes 'NETBANX-SWMEDICAL' for fraudulent transactions.

Fair-dos to Barclays they gave me my money back

Scary dodgy world we live in...esp since they wont investigate it!...and that the cards to this account do not leave the house!!!!

Re: Warning! - fraudulent bank card transaction - NETBANX-SWMEDICAL

by the feel of it, it's not worth the manpower...small fry! She said they'd investigate if it happens again... hmmm, although Barclays gave me my money back I still feel like a victim, and one that can be attacked at anytime at anypoint - with my bank powerless to prevent it or infact prepared to do anything about it!

so how many times have people got to have their bank accounts raided and how much money have the banks got to give away before "small fry"become "big fish"and worthy of a investigation ,don't they realise that this is the sort of attitude by the banks that fraudsters rely on

Netbanx - is a payment processor, so have you ordered anything online?

They also, processing for a variety of companys aswell, Barclays - is classed as a 'business partner'

If your cards don't leave home that it's likely you have been a victim of phising or you have a keylogger on your computer. If i were you i'd do a scan of the computer if you have anti-virus software.

They won't investigate it for £19.99, I got ripped a few years ago to the tune of £250, Barclays didn't investigate that one either, I got my money back OK.
