Was listening to this on the Vine show.
Apparently you only get few minutes on each camera and you don't know where it is.
If you see a 'crime' you take a snapshot and send it to the camera owner BUT you have to pay to report it!!
If you're the first to report it, your monthly score goes up and you might win a share of a £1000 prize. But you might also have to appear in court (anywhere in the country) and be ripped to shreds by a barrister.
Could have been a good idea, but probably not as implemented.

They should extend it to CCTV on the streets. we can get used to the idea of Policing ourselves and Policing each other.

i just read the terms and conditions and it sounds a bit of a scam to be honest ,you have to watch a screen with 4 images that refreshes every 300 seconds that's 5 mins what are the chances of catching a crime in progress like that ,also you have to pay to report it yourself ,and how much are they charging the "customers"
i will be watching out for this on watchdog i think
