How do you cook your sausages ?

Untill recently ive been either grilling them in the oven grill or putting them on the foreman but the foreman seems to take a lot of the taste out of them and the grill seems to cook emm a bit too quick and there a bit chewy. I have now started to cook them in oven in a drippin tray with a bit of oil in they do take a bit longer too cook but they taste so much better . How do use cook yours ?

If the grill's cooking them too quick then turn it down.

Mine go on a grill pan and then in a fan assisted oven.

Re: How do you cook your sausages ?

Are you cooking them so that they're hot all the way through, or so that they're brown all the way through?

Re: How do you cook your sausages ?

Aberdeen Angus Bangers for us. I quickly brown them in my heavy pan, then add half a cup of water, cover the pan with a tight lid, turn down the heat and let them slowly finish cooking for 20 minutes in the steam.

From Frozen.
In the oven, gas mark 4 for 20-25 minutes, with half a sliced onion, a little groundnut oil and light seasoning.

I Slice them right down the middle and prick the outside of them with a fork grill them slowly till they are brown on both sides turning them over occasionally.Serve them with mash potatoes and baked beans.

Re: How do you cook your sausages ?

Whenever I cook a full English I grill everything, sausages till the skin is dark brown approaching burnt, the same with the black pudding and bacon, has to be rindless back bacon and the tiny bit of rind must be crispy.

Eggs dropped into a boiling pan of water and poached.

Plus plum tomatoes and beans and Irish farls.

Of course we have toast
