You do anything, and everything, you feel you need to do if it means you are successful this time. If you want to be crabby then come on this thread and walk sideways as much as you want. We will all understand and I, for one, promise to to put up with your uncharacteristic behaviour. Might slap you with a wet herring in 6 months time in retribution but by then you will be a none smoker and be able to appreciate the smell of wet fish.
Good luck to you.

Good man Nugget, as you can see from this thread there's plenty of support available from members of CF, we're with you all the way - go for it!!

So what's the plan Nugget (sorry!)? Are you using a therapy?
You need to get ready by binning everything smoking related including the ashtray! If anyone comes to your house, make them smoke outside

What's punky got to with anything?
There's been nothing do with smoking in the house for years (well, apart from the fags and lighters) - I've been smoking outside since before Little Nug was born, so everybody else can bog off

Soz, totally read the wrong name
Good idea! Now back to the original post. How are you planning to quit? Do you have a therapy? are you using a stop smoking service?

I have a 'I don't want to smoke anymore' therapy... I'm not planning on using anything yet, but I'm open to it if I feel I need it

I don't want to start flinging stats at you, but you are four times more likely to quit if you use therapy and support provided at your local stop smoking service. They can usually give you a supply of some form of nicotine replacement therapy, or request champix from your GP.
Willpower is great and will make it a lot easier, but it only lasts a short period of time - why make life hard for yourself? Give them a call, it can't do any harm
You say you've tried to quit 3 times in the last year, for what reason did you relapse? Was it because you were struggling on your own? Why not do it with other like-minded people and make it a whole lot easier
www.smokefree.nhs.uk or give me a holler with your postcode and i can find the details for you.

Re: Stopping smoking support.
Just reading up on some posts as a newbie here and spotted this.
For my part, not lit up since the 4th January (3pm) and have gone down the route of no support nor NTR stuff this time as tried with it all many times and it all failed for me.
So, will keep you posted.
A good luck shout to all fellow quitters out there and hang on in there...
Regards
Daren
