Magna Clean for Central Heating

Has anybody heard of this and got one installed? Are they any good?

At the end of our annual service by Scottish Gas the engineer done a sales pitch on installing one of these for £250ish.

I thought that was a bit steep but since I'm getting my garage converted, including one radiator and new on installed, I wondered if it would be worthwhile getting insalled at the same time.

We have one on our boiler, filters all the crap out that collects in the system, whether it works or not I dot not know.

Re: Magna Clean for Central Heating

We have one as well. Although we havn't had it more than a year yet so don't know how well it will work.

As to the price I would say that it is a rip off at £250. British Gas only quoted us £200 and I thought that was too high as well. So got it fitted by a local plumber for £150.

Hope this helps.
