Re: How else could something so beautifull exist?
Beautiful it is..and there are many ,many places as breathtaking as that across the planet which we can share thanks to technological advances. In fact there are breathtaking images that we can see out in space courtesy of various satellites and the Hubble telescope.
Just think how much our ancestors DIDN'T see or even know about the world and universe in which they lived.
Mind I suspect it's a lot more significant when you get to see it with your own eyes...

I was lucky enough to take a helicopter flight over the grand canyon a few years back, and photos just doesn't do it any justice. That day was one of the most spectacular days in my life, taking a hot air balloon trip over the Nevada desert just as dawn broke, then the flight over the canyon in the afternoon. Truly unforgettable.
I would love to go back and do that Skywalk some day.

One of favourite all time stunning views is a hill range in Cumbria called The Howgill Fells.
Beautiful, especially when the sun is shining on them.
Curvaceous hills, with beautiful trees on them.
Wish I could link a photo I have, but I still cant.

It truly is a breathtaking sight. I took a similar picture, many years ago, from the South Rim of the GC. We took a plane ride through the canyon, landed at the South Rim Airfield and camped nearby overnight; sunrise is even better.

Mrs D & I saw the Grand Canyon back in April, during our Honeymoon/Anniversary Western USA Roadtrip.
Breathtakingly beautiful, and something which really needs to be seen to properly understand just how awesome it is. Words aren't enough.
