You will need a firm that does international removals. One way of keeping the cost down (potentially) is if you don't have a fixed moving date. When my wife moved over here, we had a removal company collect her stuff at the other end. Since we didn't need it at a fixed date (and there wasn't that much to move), they kept it in storage until they had a job close to where we lived, and put her stuff in with the other job. This meant they could do two jobs on one trip over the Channel. If I recall correctly, it was in storage for a couple of weeks, but they charged us considerably less than they would have charged for a regular job.
Also: There's no need to restrict yourself to UK companies. It might be cheaper to employ a French company, particularly if the above applies.
