Worried about my dog
any dog owners come across anyhting like this ( please see pic)
It come on very suddenly she was asleep on her bed she for maybe an hour and was fine before but woke up as the pic shows. Obviously I will be calling the vet in the am but feel a bit worried
It is a lot worse round the left eye which is very nearly closed

Re: Worried about my dog
I thought it was localised to the face but there are lumps in different regions on her body. She seems fine apart from how she looks no illness or anything. I do think its an allergy . Bethia bought her some dog beer and she had a load of that today but apart from that she has not done anything other than normal today

Re: Worried about my dog
Is it the first time shes had dog beer? Maybe signup to petforums and see what they think. Maybe try that cold teabag trick on that other link....other than that i think its a call to vets at 8am.

Re: Worried about my dog
I would say a reaction to something, definitely, as said, keep an eye on her through the night, where does she sleep ? can she sleep in your room so you will hear anything ( if ) And vets in the morning, hope she gets well soon.

Nice one mate, I remember once in S.A when my German Shepard come over funny late at night, thought she was a gonna, I actually slept 'with' her, cuddled her so I could feel her breathing ( or not ) she was that out of it, anyway, next day she was fine, strange one that. What a dog though

Re: Worried about my dog
I am hoping this is gonna clear up as quickly as it happened . If it is an allergy then in theory it should. She is just been out and had a run around as if nothing was wrong anyway but I saw it and kinda got a bit scared for her. Bloody animals get in dont they lol

Re: Worried about my dog
I remember my dog coming out in lumps like that a few years ago, it turned out she was allergic to some worming tablets that I'd gave her. I had to take her to the vets at 2am one morning, they gave her an injection and on the way back she was a sleep in the back of the car.

Re: Worried about my dog
she has got loads worse overnight. Both eyes are swollen and she has lumps over her body now. She still seems fine in herself though and she still reacts to "treat" She is still breathing ok and does not seem distressed but she is itchy .I will get her to the vet asap

Re: Worried about my dog
Not good to hear zing, but at least she's acting herself.
Good luck with the vets.

Re: Worried about my dog
hi Zing , wish i had spied this one last night , i would agree with the rest about the allergic reaction , i have treated Zak with piriton under vets instructions when he came out in hives , if she is acting normally eating and drinking then i'm sure she will be fine,
Take it its like this : http://www.flickr.com/photos/sugarpond/3286023287/
