What you up this bank holiday weekend then?

For me, so far.......

Have done some paid work for 3 hours.
Now watching F1.
Meal out at Salvos later(Italian)

Tomorrow, have to do more paid work as Monday is my main work day usually and I have people off so do not want to fall too behind.
Possibly a bit of weeding in the garden, and maybe do the ironing!
Unless anything better pops up.

What about all you lot?

(Can some kind mod, add "to" in the right place in the title please)

Making sunday dinner, harassing my 18yr old into doing the ironing, doing my homework which is actually interesting and watching Transformers again, with the TV turned up nice and loud while hubby groans in his corner cos he's sick of watching it but hey he's on Warcraft and has headphones

Re: What you up this bank holiday weekend then?

We just had my son round with 4 of his mates to help us move a shed down the garden. We couldn't lift it between us, so ended up rolling it end over end - which worked remarkably well. We then cooked up loads of steak/chops/burgers/sausages/kebabs on the barbie to reward them for their efforts

Re: What you up this bank holiday weekend then?

Wondering why my BB was down for 6 hours today and looking at the more than typical August Bank holiday weather and thinking well that's everybody's lot until Christmas.

I then started wondering why so many public holidays are between Christmas and the following Mayday/Whitsun(which ever occurs first) instead of nicely spread out over some of the better weather months.

8 public holidays..surely we are worth more.

Also as usual I've spent a part of the time wondering why Bank holiday TV is so awful....Oh look Wuthering Heights...AGAIN. A tale of several ghastly people I would loathe in real life and want nothing to do with, particularly on an August Bank Holiday..

Re: What you up this bank holiday weekend then?

Just finished a game of lawn bowls against Mevagissey (all weather green) lovely setting, lovely people. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We are going to just chill out tomorrow, it's all going to hinge on the weather what we do/don't do. But whatever, we will enjoy what comes.

Been reading, been sleeping, reviewing a few cd's (the new Muse album is awful), been into work, tomorrow we're going into Newcastle to see if I can catch a bargain or two and I might be going to the Newcastle match tomorrow night.

Re: What you up this bank holiday weekend then?

Went for a 'dirty weekend' in Cumbria, which involved a 30 mile bike ride on Saturday, and a 40 mile ride today. I'm a little shagged atm

Re: What you up this bank holiday weekend then?

Just chillin at home, living in Brighton you'd have to be insane to venture anywhere near the seafront(A27) or even worse the A23 on a bank holiday weekend...that is unless you want to induce a heart attack.
