I've always wanted to learn to ride a motocycle
and recently my friend wants me to learn with him something about a 1 day course to get a L plate (£100)
and if i want to
go for another 3 day course for £600 or something for higher cc and full license?
but thing is i don't even know how to ride a bike
i have played around with my cousins bike
i could ride it in a straight line but i can't really turn corners
is there a point for me going to the £100 course to learn even though i dont know how to ride a bike??
also any1 know of these course and what they are like?
P.S
i do have a car license so im not afraid of not knowing the highway codes or things like that
Firstly how old are you... Can you ride a bicycle..
The 3-5 day courses are fine if you already are comfortable on a motorbike (i.e you;ve been riding round on one with L-Plates) but not that good for someone with no current 'bikesense'
The £100 one day will be the CBT, this will be a days instruction on how to handle a small bike including lots of yard work (i.e..slow speed manouvering and track circuits) with a final assesment on the road. This will enable you to ride a small (sub125cc) bike on the road for a couple of years (and also a larger bike for training purposes under supervision by a one on one instructor)
The question is can you afford £100 to try it? Do you perhaps have any friends with a small bike and some private ground that you can try it without being illegal on the roads?
You say you've ridden your friends bike in a straight line, did you change gears, from what I'm hearing / reading your not ready to spend money on lessons yet, rather buy a cheapo and use private land ( with permission ) to get used to riding a bike, if you can't turn /manoeuvre on a bike, your dead
