Frankfurt motor show: Rolls-Royce

Rolls-Royce's new Ghost will be one of the key unveilings at the show – and the firm has confirmed key performance figures for the newcomer.
It will be powered by a new 6.6-litre turbocharged V12 unique to the Rolls-Royce, but based on a unit from parent-company BMW and producing 563bhp, delivering a 0-60mph time of 4.7 seconds and a governed top speed of 155mph.
155 MPH? That will slop a few G&Ts in a few laps.

Surely the point of owning a Rolls is you want to show how affluent you are..not to be achieved at speed though.

Re: Frankfurt motor show: Rolls-Royce

But its the "baby" rolls... in much the sense that the Bentley Conti GT was the "baby" Bentley. It will just be bought by footballers and possibly Simon Cowell along with a few arab Sheikhs.

The RR Phantom can do 155 so thats no big whoop but the Phantom is much more oppulent (with umberellas in the rear doors that pop out).

My opinion is: If you want to BE DRIVEN - buy a Rolls Royce, but if you want to DRIVE then by a Bentley
