Unhappy Gamma GT Levels High?????

Wonder if someone could advise me - I had my Gall Bladder removed 7 weeks ago after having lots of problems with gall stones being stuck in the liver ducts. I had a blood test done about 3 to 4 weeks ago and was told to have them redone today - the nurse said that my Gamma GT levels were a little high and that is why they have to be redone. I have now read on the net that this can be due to alchohol etc but also that it could be something to do with the ducts - any advise would be greatly appreciated as I am now worried sick and have not to go back for the results for a week - and I dont think I could worry that long - Please help!

Many thanks for answers.

Welcome to the forum,

Probably best to ring up NHS direct on 0845 4647 as this is primarily a forum about virgin media's cable services to the UK. Though we do probably have some healthcare professionals who use the site.
