Credit card late payment during interest free period ?

Hi all

I have a Abbey Credit Card and I two months into a six month interest free period on balance transfers.

This month I will miss the payment date by 4 days

I understand I will be charged a late payment fee but will they charge me anything else like interest on the balance outstanding like they normally would outside an interest free period.

Any ideas ?

Many thanks for your time

Regards

Mike

They might pull the free balance offer as you have broken your credit agreement terms.

As Lee says they might pull the free balance offer because you have defaulted on your agreement. I remember being one payment late due to me being on holiday, I had a balance transfer on my account and they took the interest free option away from me and charged me the whole interest on my account. Mind you it was a Virgin MBNA credit card. I was lucky because I only had £263 left to pay.

Phone them up and explain the circumstances - they 'may' be able to do something. But be prepared for the worst.
