The big one is Tron, btw. Oscar is tiny for an adult rat as when I got him he was severely malnourished. At 6 months old he was the same size as a 12-week old female.

aw, bless. Do you put them all to bed, or are they always scurrying around? They have such cheeky faces when you take a head on shot!

Re: Ratties! *PIC-HEAVY!*
No, they all live in cages. Ford and Zaphod live together, as do Tron and Oscar. Slarty won't accept other rats after losing his brother Zarniwoop so he has a cage to himself. In their cages are lots of hammocks (made from old blankets), a basket with a towel in for them to sleep in, things to climb on, things to chew, food and water (obviously ) and a litter tray (yes, you can litter train rats).
They usually come out for about an hour at a time. All that running around and playing wears them out so they usually let me know when they want to go back.

Lew, your rats are lovely!
My sister has had a few.
Ever thought about a dog? Mine was such a cutie, and a tad more responsive than a rat?!!!

Re: Ratties! *PIC-HEAVY!*
Lovely photos as usual Lew. I never thought I would ever fall in love with a rat but Tron is gorgeous.

Re: Ratties! *PIC-HEAVY!*
You'd have to fight my Mum for him. He's her "teddy bear" and falls asleep on her lap each evening.
He is handsome though. He's really starting to look like his Dad, Frodo.
