Ebay post outside UK
I'm selling an item on Ebay, and had 4 queries about posting to France, Spain, Sweden and now Portugal.
What's the best way to post it with Royal Mail?
I've been telling them that it'll be about £10.
350g and Airsure.

Royal mail small packets is the way to go for anything under 1KG, we've recently sent a bike reg/reg to Greece and unsigned it was less than £4 with an extra couple of quid for a signed for delivery.

Ok, I'll need it signed no matter what.
I don't know why foreigners are so interested in it for. but I'll just take their money and not ask any questions

Here's the pricelist

I'm amazed that small packets is actually cheaper than letters..
Just add £3.70 on for signed for deliveries

Re: Ebay post outside UK
If it gets too much hassle you can restrict your listings to UK delivery only. You might earn less that way though, if you sell stuff with continental appeal.

I always was restricted to just UK. it's only this one thing that has brought the interest from them.

Well, if you've advertised for UK only, you're justified in cancelling their bids if you want. I guess it depends on whether you want the extra work and the extra money. Have they pushed the max. bid price up by much?

I don't mind really. I've had to lift the restrictions from just UK now, otherwise they won't be able to bid.
none of them have bid on it yet.
it ends in a few hours, 36 watchers, 8 bids, £47 so far.

Re: Ebay post outside UK
I dont sell abroad because, if I remember rightly, the insurance offered by Royal Mail doesn't cover loss by foreign postal services.

I was under the impression you can get free proof of posting which insures you for up to £39 abroad.
Also if he sends by Airsure it's trackable and insured up to £500.
I would say only take Paypal, match the address on eBay ("view order details") with PP address, and make sure it's not an echeque, and make sure their PP address is confirmed.
If yes to all of the above, you can send!

It's quite funny really because none of the foreigners bid. I don't think I turned off UK only properly
it sold for £220 in the end.
