Im looking for a good car wax does anyone have any preferences as there are so many about that promise allsorts .

It's hard to beat Autoglym as long as you don't apply it too thick and follow it up with the Extra Gloss Protection.

All car wax is the same it's all in the application and taking off, for a good wax finish you'll need a good shampoo that will lift the dirt off the paint work, a good rinse will also help you along the way of a super gloss finish.

There's no need to polish your car, your only going to kill your paintwork because it's abrasive, if you seal your paintwork with something called Zybart there's no need to polish your car again.
